ArtVentures! Art Camp
is an innovative and exciting summer day camp which combines art and architecture. Our schedule gives kids
a diverse program with an excellent blend of time spent outdoors exploring exciting destinations in the city and studio time,
creating and working on their own projects. Our program utilizes the tremendous urban resources from which children learn
and develop their projects. Our day camp provides an opportunity for kids to express themselves creatively while developing new skills and experiencing
new challenges. The combination of art and architecture as the core of our program, and the experienced artists/architects
instructors make our day camp unique.
ArtVentures! Typical Day starts at the studio with a drawing session followed by the presentation of a specific art or architectural
project/topic of the day. The group then embarks on a field trip to:

park, Battery Park City Marina, Hudson River Park...
- Explore, sketch and study a historical building, a church, a bridge: Brooklyn
Bridge, St. John the Divine…
- Visit a and draw in a museum: Moma, MET, MAD, Cooper Hewitt,

Back in the studio, kids develop and/or complete their own project. Each class includes a hands-on activity,
to develop 2-D and 3-D visualization and craftsmanship skills. Projects are executed both independently and collaboratively.
